The Killing Sense Shortlisted for Irish Crime Novel of the Year!

After the drama of the Fake Sam Blake (who is still on Amazon, so do watch out!) I have wonderful news!

The Killing Sense has been shortlisted for Irish Crime Novel of the Year! I’m absolutely thrilled but it’s a very tough category so I’ll need ALL your votes to be in with a chance of winning! (And your partner’s/sibling’s/parent’s!) Of all the books I’ve written, this is the one that I’m most proud off – it was one of the most difficult, with the most research, but it all came together at the end. If you enjoyed it, now’s your chance to support both me and the book…

You can vote here:   https://www.irishbookawards.ie/vote

You don’t need to vote in every category, but every vote counts!

The shortlisting announcement took place in the iconic and historic GPO on O’Connell Street and was attended by the stars of the book world and Irish publishing. Here I am with chef Donal Skehan (Lifestyle Book of the Year shortlistee) and Hazel Gaynor, shortlisted for Popular Fiction Book of the Year.

And the incredible Dave Rudden who is shortlisted for Children’s Book of the Year (Senior) for Con of the Dead!

And here’s the GPO as you’ve never seen it before! Here Alistair Giles is making the announcement that An Post are continuing their sponsorship (yay!)

The winners in each category will be announced at the awards ceremony in November, and voting closes on 16th November – I’m in a category with Ireland’s top crime writers – who are also my friends! Whoever wins, we’ll all be celebrating!

I’d really appreciate your vote for The Killing Sense!   https://www.irishbookawards.ie/vote

Simon Trewin was a dear friend as well as my agent, and his loss is devastating for everyone who knew him. The outpouring of love for him since his diagnosis with a horribly aggressive brain tumour at the end of March, has been incredible.
